We'd like to provide the highland population with communication by SW and MW (short and middle waver), and the power from small hydro generators. Their small generator can be made in Georgia in the formal Soviet industrial factory.

Cottages around Tbilisi

Purchase of cottages around Tbilisi for socially unprotected people (single mothers and etc.)

The Development of Elderly House

To arrange a new type House that will be a shelter for homeless elderlies. To build two wooden cottages on the existed territory and arrange the canteen, bathroom, rest room, doctor's room and quarantine room in the main building.

First Aid Service

(creation of social infrastructure)

First Aid Service includes the first medical, hygienic and material assistance for needy and fainting with hunger (bath, change the clothes and feed them). Possible Partners can be the Catholics and Lutherans who have the shelter.

Free Bath-house

(creation of social infrastructure)

To organize the Free Bath House for needy and homeless with free hygienic items, linen and second hand clothes if necessary.

The Undertaker's Office for Homeless (creation of social infrastructure)

To organize the Undertakers' Office for needy and homeless. To make wooden coffins in Lazarus wood making workshop, attend the funerals, bury them on the especially dedicated territory.

Soup Kitchen

Lazarus collaborating with various donors has been implementing Soup Kitchen Project from 1997. After the end of this project some soup kitchens still continue existing and serves the limited number of beneficiaries. The project implies the technical and nutritional assistance of these soup kitchens. Lazarus had 14 soup kitchens.

Sunday School

(renovatoin, repair)

The partner is suggesting us the building (the sanitary arrangements are to be repaired) in the centre of the City with concert hall and two rooms for three years. It will be a school on week-ends where the children will be able to fo on dancing, painting and foreign languages. The rest days the partner will use it for comertial activities and cover the rate and salaries of the staff, working in the school from their profit.

The Rehabilitation Computer Training Centre

(New equipment)

The partner is suggesting us the rooms on the first floor of the building in the centre of the City for three years. It is necessary to make small repairs, to purchase equipments and special tables for computers. The tables and the entrance specially arranged for invalids will give them a chance to learn the language of programming. The excellent students can be  placed in a job. Three computers will be free of charge and the rest will be for comercial activity which will give the money to pay the rate and salaries to the staff working in the centre.

Rehabilitation Centre

The partner is suggesting us the rooms in the centre of the City for five years. The Hall with simulators can be organized. It is necessary to make repairs and arrainge the bathroom there.The centre will be for free for invalids and children from poor families, but the rest time  partner will use it for comertial activities and cover the rate and salaries of the staff, working in the school from their profit.

To Collect the Information on Highland Regions

According to the hard social-economic situation in Georgia the most suffered parts of the country are the Northern hilghland regions. The military operations in neighbour country (Russia) and the new  IDP-s from their made the situation worse. That's why it is necessary to study the region from the social-economical standpoint. The Educational Assosiation " The Information Science" made similar research and recorded the studies on CD (in Georgian). That's why it will be possible to implement  this project in North highland region, particularily in Mtiuleti, Gudamakari Canyon, Pshav-Khevsureti and Tusheti on this base.

Fruit processing workshop

This project intends to run Fruit processing workshop, which will be self-financed. This project will employ people and envisage further self-development.

Net of Shops in Tbilisi

(creation of social infrastructure, construction of new building)

The project intents to promote independent business association in the city and in regions (the product will be bought from the farmers and in the city from the people who work in a set of shops). These associations enable to develop non-government sector and have contacts with partner organizations.

Development of Bakery

To purchase additional kitchen equipment and materials to improve the activity of the existed Bakery 

Construction of Cottages (Bakuriani, Kojori, Ureki...)

To build the reahabilitation-rest house in summer it will work as a commercial and the rest of the time as a charitable house.

To find a partner organization  to provide us with cottages with long term (without percentage) credit which  will be in 3 years.

To arrange the Laundry, which will serve the population of the region and will be free of charge for the poor part of it. The half profit will be used for the Akhaldaba Orphanage and for the project "The Assistant of Elderlies at Home"

To provide the Elderlies with the commodities  produced in Lazarus workshops

Bee-keeping

to produce honey and other bee products. The first year profit will be put back in the project. The half of second year profit will be used for the Akhaldaba Orphanage and for the project "The Assistant of Elderlies at Home"

The Saw-mill

To produce the timber for Lazarus wood working workshops

Street Children

To organize the boarding-house in Poti, where the street children can get the civil and religious knowlege, cosines and food.

Small Oil-press Factory

The factory will mainly work on the material of agricultural projects and the half profit will be used for the humanitarian activities in the Diocese

Agricultural Projects in Diocese (wheat, corn soy bean)

This project intends to cultivate the land of 150 ha, to occupy the local parishioners and to build  the mini farms on the base of remains.

Computer Training Centre in Poti

Due to specificity of this town  it is necessary to have a qualified staff. The Center will help the citizens of Poti to master computer skills and these service will be free of  charge for street children. 17 street children are already registered and is expacted to be increased.

Job Creation in Abroad

The able-bodied part of population, in particular, unemployeds who are the main providers of their families will have a chance to be paid  for the own work, for there intelligence and support their families in this way. The population with a small income, so called average layer: teachers, research officers, students and all who are the main poviders of  their families and the government cannot support them, are eligible for this project
